The Division 

The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.  

The opportunity 

We have a Permanent Full Time opportunity for Senior Policy Integration Officer to join the Customer Service Experience and Planning Branch. This role will work collaboratively within the Branch and outside it to identify opportunities to streamline internal and external policy to improve the customer experience and generate outcomes for Transport for New South Wales.

This position accommodates remote and flexible work practices across NSW, with the opportunity for you to work out of your nearest Regional or Outer Metropolitan office.

What you will be involved in

The successful candidates will be involved in activities such as:

•    Identifying opportunities to influence internal processes and external Policy to improve customer service experience and outcomes for community and government.

•    Provide the ability to have ROM ensure outcomes from Policy change have been embedded.

•    Work flexibly across teams to provide insight and advice on policy issues and identify high value targets for streamlining and simplification. 

•    Researching, analysing and reviewing complex policy issues, identifying emerging issues, developing evidence based options, and recommended solutions to resolve problems and mitigate risks.

•    Create effective and compelling business cases for change that appropriately balance the opportunity against risk and impact on Transport for New South Wales.

•    Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the development and implementation of policies to identify issues and ensure the achievement of desired outcomes. 

About you 

We are looking for a self-motivated team player who is able to work flexibly across multiple teams and concepts and work well with ambiguity.  You will have the demonstrated ability to set up new approaches and a track record of having driven change in a policy or process context.  Demonstrated knowledge of the Transport sector would be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will be comfortable delivering outcomes in a large, complex and often changing environment. You will be adept at interpreting Policy requirements against what is needed on the ground to achieve outcomes.  You will be able to collaboratively determine where the best opportunities exist to enhance the customer experience, deliver savings to the agency and improve outcomes.  

You will be skilled in your ability to research information, develop and implement policy initiatives that support organisational objectives and customer focused outcomes. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience is required.  This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing Division that values regional NSW and strives towards excellent outcomes for regional communities!

Salary and Benefits

Transport Grade 8 ($118,015 - $132,176) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
