The mission of the Global Partner Solutions (GPS) organisation is to accelerate Microsoft’s growth through its extensive and vibrant ecosystem of Cloud and Devices partners, while also guiding the definition of and establishing excellence in execution across the GPS teams. To do this, GPS focuses its efforts around four core motions:  Build-with, Technical, Go To Market (GTM), and Partner Performance.

 

The Partner Development Manager role sits within our Partner Services team and will support Partners transform and accelerate their business on our Cloud Solutions. 

 

The Senior PDM will be aligned to an established territory of Partners who are large, complex and evolving their Microsoft strategy for now and the future. We are looking for a strong cross-team leader who can collaborate with a broad network of stakeholders across both Partners and Microsoft organisations who can help build and commercialise cloud services and deliver digital transformation of customers through world class Partnering.

Responsibilities

  • Microsoft Business Leader, develop excellent Executive Relationships, creating Business Plans, ensuring outstanding relationship governance and driving excellence at all levels of the Partnership. Must be able to articulate and generate excitement and have the ability to frame ambiguous business opportunities, create structured business recommendations, adapt quickly based on senior stakeholder or market input and effectively communicate to Microsoft and Partner executive leadership teams.

  • Ability to influence and hold internal stakeholders to account to support the Partnership Plans.

  • Sales Leadership, passion for Partner success and achievement of Partner Targets. Demonstrate a sales challenger mindset to identify, assess, influence partner opportunities and drive growth & performance on revenue, customer acquisition, and usage. Overall responsibility for ensuring the successful sales landing of partner offerings.

Team Mobiliser and Cultural Leader, identify and delight key stakeholders. Drive innovative Modern Sales and Go To Market strategies across the Partner and with Microsoft teams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Build relationships with Partner executives, technology and sales leaders to evangelise the solutions which will drive our Cloud Services
  • Excellent Business Planning and alignment of goals
  • Ensure that the Go-to-Market strategy with our partners is comprehensive and supported by a well-defined solutions portfolio that aligns with Microsoft’s industry and technology priorities
  • Support sales opportunities by working with appropriate partner and Microsoft field teams
  • Track pipeline health on key deals to accelerate sales momentum and drive usage
  • Help enable deep Microsoft skills and delivery capacity in Partners

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in technology sales leadership and Partner led business models
  • Direct knowledge and experience in Cloud Services
  • Sharp business acumen with insights of the industry and competitive landscape and offerings
  • Strong communication skills and maturity to conduct partner CXO briefings and engagements
  • Proven leadership and impact and influence skills, along with the ability to mentor others
  • Ability to collaborate across virtual teams, leverage best practices & deliver results
