About us

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres, and regions. We work with several government agencies to coordinate metro, train, bus, ferry, light rail, road, and maritime services, always keeping the safety and comfort of our customers at the heart of what we do.  

 

The Division 

 

The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure. 

 

The Opportunity

 

We are looking for a seasoned program manager to lead and implement transformation and improvement programs., including managing the development, definition and governance of programs, projects and initiatives relating to the business’ strategic transformation agenda. 

 

You will lead the coordination of all work streams including continuous improvement, business continuity planning, change readiness activities and supporting the implementation of organisational change to ensure the transformation agenda is achieved.

You will also:

•    Ensure programs are in alignment with the business’ project and change management approach and methodologies as well as the transformation narrative

•    Work with program stakeholders to identify significant organisational change issues and risks and develop strategies to address these to minimise impacts to program delivery

•    Provide strategic and tactical level reporting, advice and escalation of emerging issues and risks to senior leaders and the executive to inform strategic planning, decision making, and remedial action

•    Manage the strategic review of project deliverables to provide assurance of operational outcomes and benefits realisation

•    Motivate, encourage and inspire the development of a strong, effective team with a clear focus on the delivery of planned outcomes and the continual development of the capabilities and capacities of the individual team members

About you

 

We are looking for an inspirational leader who has a passion for continuous improvement, driving cultural change and previous experience in uplifting the capability of teams you are working with. You will have a passion for innovation with the ability to identify and deliver improvement programs.

You will have exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work across the whole organisation. You will have worked with business analysts and change managers, and have previous experience in a similar role within a large complex environment.
