The opportunity 

As an experienced people leader our Senior Manager, Safety Delivery (South & West region) will cover Albury to Wollongong through to Parkes and Mount Victoria. Supporting the delivery of the strategic plan for NSW Trainlink (Safelink) and managing a safety team of 4 to support the risk profile and strategic direction of a customer-centric organisation. The Senior Manager, Safety Delivery, will be a key contributor in partnering with the regions where Trainlink operates rail and coach services.  The Senior Manager, Safety Delivery will partner with the organisation and stakeholders within Regional and Outer Metropolitan to positively develop Trainlink’s safety maturity. This is an exciting time to join NSW Trainlink with a new intercity and regional fleet being rolled out to service NSW.

 

About you

You are a passionate, pragmatic people leader with experience in rail/transport or operational industry. You will motivate, inspire and develop a team of safety professionals dispersed across NSW supporting passenger services on train and coach. You are a strategic operator who understands operational mindsets with a demonstrated experience in operational environments leading safety functions in large and complex customer service organisations. You will have tertiary qualifications in safety, risk, engineering or similar and a comprehensive understanding of WHS legislation, Rail Legislation, HVNL. In addition, an understanding of environmental legislation (EPL) is desirable. As a leader, you will be empowered to make decisions that have a meaningful impact.

Salary and Benefits

This role is a Transport Senior Service Manager (TSSM) with salary packages starting at $172K (inclusive of super) depending on experience.
