The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in helping formulate, execute and sustain a global communications strategy for Abbott’s nutrition business in the United States and Canada, focusing on our nutrition portfolio—which includes the Similac, Pedialyte and PediaSure, Ensure, Glucerna and a number of other brands. The senior manager, based at the company’s U.S. location in Columbus, OH, is responsible for planning, creative content development, identification and execution of storytelling opportunities and engaging with traditional and new media to enhance Abbott's reputation and drive thought leadership for key initiatives through the nutrition business. The senior manager must think strategically and provide thoughtful counsel to a broad range of internal contacts across all levels of management and seek out and build relationships with external stakeholders. The candidate will bring a deep understanding of the media landscape, external best practice and have a track record of success in media relations, storytelling, social engagement and program management. Experience with consumer products is required as this person will play a critical role in translating complex topics into consumer-relevant stories.
