The Role:
Boeing Capital Corporation (BCC) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Powerplant Asset Management to join our team which located in Renton, Washington.
This candidate will provide strategic direction for all engine and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) related matters and manage the day to day function of the Powerplant requirements within the BCC Asset Management team.
The ideal candidate will employ technical expertise to enable and support BCC financing and leasing activities to protect the value of its aircraft fleet, while simultaneously minimizing risk exposure.
Responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities will include management of engine and APU assets on lease and in storage within BCC, providing subject matter expert advice, and support within BCC.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day to day management of Powerplant within Boeing Capital Corporation (BCC)
Responsible for the development and implementation of the Powerplant strategies within BCC
Engaging with colleagues across all functions of Boeing Capital Corporation (BCC) with a subject matter expert level of technical knowledge regarding engines and Auxiliary Power Unit (APUs)
Identifies opportunity to optimize the Engine portfolio over the life-cycle of the Aircraft, through the Lease Agreements negotiation and across the One Boeing group
Review and analyze technical information, generate work scopes, maintenance cost projections and budgets and present to senior management
Support deal team during contract negotiations on engine/APU related matters to include delivery conditions, borescope requirements and reviews, maintenance reserve rates, and preservation of residual value
Collaborate with colleagues in commercial, legal & financial disciplines and maintain technical relationships with external parties including airline customers, engine manufacturers, maintenance providers, regulatory agencies, peer finance / lease organizations, and suppliers
Act as focal for resolution of any technical issues arising during the day to day business of BCC
Maintain subject matter expertise in designated topics, keeping current and providing support to colleagues
Lead special projects as requested by Vice President, Asset Management
Important Information:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in technical discipline such as engineering, science, or technology
5+ years of experience working Powerplant issues within a Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO), airline or lessor environment
2+ years management experience in an airline or lessor environment
1+ years of experience in project management including working with internal & external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Technical discipline (Engineering, Math, etc.) or Engine Technology Degree
Experience in MS Office: Word and Excel
Experience in Engine Trading and Engine Parts Trading
Subject matter expert on the management of engine and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) assets on lease and in storage
Knowledge of engine technical records requirements, including first-hand experience with engine record keeping as related to the various regulatory and expected market standards
Detailed understanding and proven experience of Powerplant Management within an airline or lessor or Engine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) including Engine on/off wing management, contract negotiation, work scoping, shop visit management, budget control and invoice control
