A career in Human Resources, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to make a difference at PwC by helping to fully leverage the skills and talents of all our people. You’ll help our local offices in driving the Firm’s people strategy, creating a unique people experience for each individual, and supporting our Firm wide values by working with the core competencies that measure and drive individual and Firm wide success in the marketplace.
Our Talent and Performance team helps identify key talent value drivers specific to our business and focus on metrics based assessments of our talent management and talent drivers and identifying skills, roles, and people required to deliver our business strategy. As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Performance
In partnership with the Human Capital Business Partners determine and oversee the successful execution of our performance approach and key milestones (performance expectations, goal setting, feedback, metrics dashboard, performance year end) and manage the contributing technologies (Workday, Snapshot, Google sites, Power BI).
Ensure HC can successfully execute our performance approach on the ground by providing training, tools and hands-on guidance so staff and leaders fully understand their roles in performance management.
Continuously improve and enhance our performance approach, being agile with best practices and feedback from HC, Leaders, staff and our Global Talent and Impact team.
Partnering with other Centers of Excellence, develop strategies that will drive behaviours that allow for real-time, frequent performance improvement and development opportunities.
Leverage national and Global teams to continuously improve the employee performance experience through technology, via Workday, Google, data insights, and dashboards (i.e. PowerBI).
Research and keep current with best in class Performance Management methodologies.
Talent
In partnership with the Human Capital Business Partners, create and drive our talent strategy within our Lines of Service, focusing on potential and succession planning/pipeline building to meet future talent needs
Drive our efforts to create a distinct employee experience at PwC that maximizes the potential of our people through career development conversations and stretch opportunities.
Use insights from talent analytics to help the business make better talent decisions. This includes analytics that help drive our Inclusion and Diversity strategy.
Partner with our Canadian HC Leaders and our Global Talent and Impact community to continuously improve and optimize the integration of people, process and technology as it relates to the talent strategy.
Analyze our current promotion criteria to ensure xLoS alignment and consistency. This includes leveraging data insights to identify bias and barriers to career progression, then determine and implement changes that focus on removing them to help us achieve our firmwide diversity goals.
Research and keep current with best in class talent approaches and methodologies.
Engagement
Manage our national employee engagement survey and pulse surveys end to end: ensuring questions reflect - and allow us to measure - progress on our strategy.
Determine and drive communications strategy to promote participation and timely reporting of results in a meaningful way.
Career Pathways
Considering the future needs of the business, create alternative career paths that are tailored to, and will attract talent, with specialized skills (e.g. tech/digital), including:
market appropriate titles, staff levels, compensation and incentives approach,
performance approach (i.e. goal setting, performance expectations, performance reviews and feedback)
talent identification, skill development needs and promotion/progression criteria.
Forge strong relationships with the business to identify needs, design, implement, monitor and measure success, being agile at every turn.
Cultivate partnerships with our Global teams, other COEs to leverage their knowledge, and conduct research within the market.
What you'll bring to the team:
Experience in performance and talent management.
Experience with Workday and/or an HR background within the technology field is an asset.
A proven track record of driving initiatives and delivering results - you know, or figure out, how to get the job done regardless of circumstance.
Storytelling skills, with the ability to excite people around change or a new initiative, at both the leadership and staff levels.
Ability to take feedback, reinvent to continuously improve with the aim of becoming a true subject matter expert and trusted advisor in performance and talent.
Willing to get into the details to truly understand how our technologies work and can best work for us.
Work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, partnering with HC and various Centers of Excellence, nationally and Globally. This means you understand the importance of developing strong relationships quickly and are able to build trust with those around you.
Organization and time management will be critical to your success – you need to be able to prioritize and take on several critical initiatives at once.
We are a group that has never been happy with the status quo and we are looking for someone that will always look for ways to improve.
Coaching and development of the team is critical – we are a small team that relies on each other and a constant focus on learning and feedback.
