About the team
The role operates with a high level of autonomy within a team who operates at enterprise level and engage project teams for asset performance, whole of lifecycle costs and asset management maturity initiatives.
The key focus areas for the team include, asset capacity & service performance, asset sustainability & technical innovation and asset management centre of excellence.
The opportunity
We are looking to appoint a Senior Manager Operations and Asset. You will be passionate about asset management with engineering or analytical experience in rail / infrastructure / Power/ Utility sector. Reporting to Associate Director Engineering – Asset Management, you will manage and lead the provision of technical advice; documentation review; technical assurance; standards and knowledge management of the operations, including operations readiness and asset management components associated with the Sydney Metro program and the metro product.

Asset Condition Monitoring
Asset Performance Management
Asset Sustainability (Environmental Impacts/Net GHG Emissions)
Provide input/support the delivery of Strategic Asset and Services Plan (SASP) and Asset Services Plan (ASP)
Using proven communication and stakeholder management skills you will be developing trusted and productive internal and external business relationships
Previous underground Metro rail project experience, with international project experience highly desirable
Capacity to successfully juggle multiple deliverables and complex issues, in a busy and evolving delivery environment
You will understand the challenges and opportunities of working within a matrix-based organisation, and of collaborating with multiple deployed teams
Result oriented with a keen sense of urgency
An enthusiastic and curious approach with the ability to motivate and influence others
The role is identified as a Rail Safety Worker under the Rail Industry Worker Scheme
Tertiary qualifications in engineering and Chartered Membership of Engineering Institution
