Job Description

About us

Transport for NSW keeps our State moving by providing safe, integrated and efficient transport systems. We put our customers at the centre of everything we do – and we do a lot. We connect people, communities and industry and manage how they use our road, rail and maritime networks and services, and even active modes like walking and cycling. The work we do connects the journeys you take every day.

We are a state government organisation made up of more than 28,000 people and we're in the middle of delivering the largest transport infrastructure program in Australia's history. We work across planning, policy and procurement, harnessing data and technology to develop smarter and more adaptive transport solutions.

That means job opportunities in metropolitan and regional areas right across NSW – you have the chance to be part of creating a lasting legacy that will benefit generations to come.

About the team

Our People and Culture Division (P&C) is planning for and building a workforce with the advanced and specialised skills needed to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. We’re building an organisational culture where everyone feels empowered to make a real difference.

As part of P&C, the Learning and Development (L&D) team is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). This team leads the delivery of high-quality learning programs across all areas of Transport, providing learning opportunities that enable people to have greater opportunity to thrive at work.

The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Change Specialist to join our Enablement team within Learning and Development. The role will be involved in the development and management of the change and communication deliverables to support the delivery of an improved L&D operating model.

The role will be responsible for identifying and working with key stakeholders, developing change management plans, evaluating the impact of planned change. The role will also require you to identify risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, identify and manage any anticipated resistance to change. Developing communications to support change initiatives and defining success metrics and measuring performance against these is also a key element of the role.

We are looking for a customer-centric and tenacious individual with a drive to succeed. You have excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences. You’re also skilled in building collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholder groups with the ability to influence behaviour to achieve desired outcomes.
