The Division

The Greater Sydney Division is redefining integrated transport choices to improve the lives of customers and communities, making Greater Sydney a better place to live, work and play. 

NSW is becoming more mobile and inter-connected than ever. The Planning and Programs division lead the planning, prioritisation, and delivery of current and future investments across the network, through evidence-based decision making, supporting the changes required to translate Future Transport 2056 strategic objectives into customer and community outcomes across Greater Sydney

The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity (up to 2 years fixed term) for an experienced Senior Manager in Land Use Assessment in our Central/Western region to provide strong leadership, & to strive for best practice in advising consent authorities and developers on land use applications, including development applications, voluntary planning agreements and related items. To do this successfully, you will:

Motivate, encourage, and inspire the development of a strong, effective, and efficient professional team

Ensure land use development applications are managed by influencing and communicating TfNSW requirements

Provide advice and guidance in partnership with key stakeholders in land use applications matters.

Identify and implement strategies to minimise the risk of future land use impacts on the transport network by promoting a safe, integrated approach to land use and transport planning and encouraging the use of alternative transport modes.

About You

You are an experienced leader of high performing people and constantly aim to grow the capabilities in your team. In addition, you will have:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in urban planning, engineering, transport planning or the like;

Expert level knowledge of NSW environmental planning and assessment legislation, statutory framework, and Roads Act obligations and

A record of success in integrated road transport and land use planning, including traffic and transport assessment of development applications.
