About the team
The TfNSW’s IT group provides the networks, cloud platforms, applications, and end-user computing that enables TfNSW’s 30,000 employees to deliver a smart and efficient transport network for the people of NSW. The Corporate IT team is responsible for delivering end-to-end services of a very large application portfolio that is consumed by internal Clients and external Customers.
The opportunity
Right now, we have an excellent permanent, fulltime opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager, ITSM (Enterprise Change & Release) to join the talented Corporate IT team and lead the management of processes, systems and functions to package, build, test and deploy approved changes and updates into production environments across infrastructure and application services and develop and maintain a release schedule and release configurations, to control the movement of releases to production environments, and ensure the integrity of Transport’s production environments is protected.
The role will establish the appropriate frameworks, policies and processes to support the structured release and deployment of approved releases and be responsible for the analysis, planning and design of release packages, including assessment of risk and release scheduling.
This role reports directly to the Director Servcie Delivery and leads a team of 5 direct reports currently.

You will:
Build and maintain the release calendar and schedule, working closely with application portfolio teams, service portfolio teams and suppliers to develop a central consistent view of all releases.
Maintain a release repository and manage key information (such as build and release procedures, dependencies, notification lists) and lead the assessment planning and design of release packages, including assessment of risk.
Lead and co-ordinate release go-live activities including the execution of deployment plans and checklists, and manage the communication of release status, progress, issues, risks, relationships and coordination of work between different teams at different locations.
Provide reporting and updates to senior management in IT and communicate release details and schedules across Group IT and Transport agencies as required and participate in Change Advisory Board meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks and conduct and coordinate post release reviews.
Lead, develop and sustain a cohesive and effective team, maximising performance at an individual and team level.

Expertise in Enterprise Change and Release Management
Proven ability to lead, manage and develop a team of innovative, curious individuals with excellent problem solving skills
Advanced capabilities in business partnering to build and manage effective stakeholder relationships, develop trust and influence with integrity.
