We are currently looking for a Senior Manager for Digital Aviation Solutions Sales (M,F,D). The role can be based in one of the listed locations: Gothenburg, Sweden; Neu-Isenburg, Frankfurt, Germany; Bristol, Crawley, Gatwick, UK; Dublin, Ireland, Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Gdansk, Poland; Madrid, Spain; Rome, Italy or Brussels, Belgium.

The position reports to the Global Director for DAS Sales and manages a regional team coordinating closely with programs leadership and marketing. This leader is responsible for developing our regional go-to-market strategy for each supported business and leading the team in the execution of sales campaigns to achieve growth objectives. The leader is responsible for the day-to- day management of the sales team members who are focused on regional sales campaigns, opportunity management, sales training & development, internal coordination, CRM (Salesforce.com) administration and other programs as prescribed.

In this position the Senior Manager for Digital Aviation Solutions Sales (M,F,D).  will also have the responsibility to represent the sales organization within one or a number of Integrated Product Teams (IPT) for Boeing’s Digital Aviation Solutions.  In this role the Regional Manager will actively work as a member of the assigned product IPT’s leadership team overseeing the strategic direction of the product portfolio, represent voice of the customer and serve as channel between the assigned IPT and the global sales organization to segment, address and proactively grow the Digital Aviation business for Boeing Global Services.     

Position responsibilities:

  • Coach, develop and guide the sales team on how to drive the most optimal customer journey and how to grow each client in the team’s portfolio;
  • Monitoring team activities on daily basis, conducting weekly/monthly check-in meetings with team to implement and adjust strategies;
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals to solicit new business and/or retain and penetrate existing business to drive growth;
  • Lead the development of sales opportunities and coordinate with the business sales support groups, program leadership and marketing to maximize opportunities in the region;
  • Develop and execute on growth plans while meeting short term business objectives;
  • Drive key activities, including prospecting, strategy planning, forecasting and prioritization of resources;
  • Support strategic imperatives and initiatives in order to ensure the fulfillment of business requirements and to optimize business performance;
  • Monitor and track key sales performance metrics;
  • Maximize utilization of product management and marketing communication as well as customer support to contribute to business objectives;
  • Ensure continuous improvement in customer satisfaction, maintain and develop relationships with key personnel of key customers within the region; 
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews with the members of the team and supervising their performance against set targets and KPIs;
  • Participating in strategically important client negotiations and meetings;
  • Lead the execution of sales strategy on the assigned territories and ensure quota attainment by the team;
  • Oversee process improvements, staff skill development and collaboration with larger BGS and Boeing proposal initiatives;
  • Partner with sales leadership, sales operations, human resources and finance to administer the sales incentive plan program; which includes calculations, data extracts and report generation in a timely manner and ensure incentive plans are distributed with accuracy, transparency and on schedule;
  • Actively participate in assigned product IPT’s leadership teams with responsibility to develop and lead the strategic direction of the IPT
  • Lead, contribute or support in special projects as assigned by the IPT leadership team. 
  • Lead global sales team training plan for products in assigned IPT’s
  • Ensure that best go-to-market practices for assigned IPT’s are shared globally.
  • Support internal nonstandard business approval processes for strategic campaigns of the assigned IPT’s

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher;
  • Experienced in Business Management or Sales/Marketing or equivalent in progressive leadership;
  • Working knowledge of Boeing’s Digital Aviation and Analytics services and solutions as it relates to Commercial and Business Aviation;
  • Experience closing large, complex, strategic deals;
  • Demonstrated business management and resource allocation skills including business plan development;
  • Exemplary people management, leadership skills, as well as sales coaching & team building skills;
  • Strong business acumen; financial and organizational skills;
  • Advanced negotiation, problem solving and influencing skills;
  • Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport, collaboration and influence, at all levels within the organization;
  • Ability to operate effectively in a multi-tasking, dynamic environment, while maintaining a forward-thinking and customer-first attitude;
  • Ability to travel both domestically and international;

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Understanding of the Aviation market space; Understanding of internal sales approval processes (P&O, NBA, etc.);
  • Understanding of CRM tools, specifically Salesforce.com;
  • Proven ability to facilitate meetings and foster communication across geographically separated teams;
