Senior Manager – Data Architecture
London

This role is responsible for the for the design and delivery of the Nucleus semantic layer (Golden Source) that provides a business orientated, common and multi-use data layer in Google Cloud to enable and provide self-serve, visualisation and analytics products. 

The role will include working with customer, Data & Analytics and IT teams in the local market and group and will ensure reusability of core EIM (Enterprise Information Model) data and other data sets where applicable. The manager will also partner extensively with Group Transformation and IT on the implementation of new data sets into the strategic data model for Group on Google Cloud (Group Nucleus.) This will include migration of existing capability. 

This role will need to leverage our partners and shared services to ensure data availability and collaborate closely with our Nucleus Data Design & Data Performance leads.

You will

• Golden Source: Own the design and delivery of the Nucleus Semantic Layer
• Design and create reusable and business friendly semantic layers for all D&A core products
• Ensure all designs and models use and align to the principles of CIM and EIM
• Drive the adoption and reuse through active local market engagement and education
• Data Provision: Ensure the provision of high-quality data and models to support Group Transformation projects
• Understand our current data landscape and how it can be leveraged
• Source, analyse and cleanse and model new data
• Define data models and requirements for Group Nucleus and play key role in transition of existing capability.
• Data Strategy/Roadmap: proactively work with IT and our customers to deliver a world class data environment
• Partner with IT to transition new data into strategic repositories and models
• Data Expertise: Be the subject matter experts in all things data, helping to develop our team and innovating to improve our service
• Provide technical and data modelling domain expertise to the wider team to continuously improve the quality of our products
• Drive data innovation in partnership with Group Technology

You must have

• Degree qualified in a data related subject
• Strong communication and influencing skills at all organisational levels
• Experience of technical data models, particularly on cloud, and ability to drive technology on design/implementation
• Extensive experience of BI systems, data governance and compliance activities
• In addition, knowledge/experience of emerging Analytics Data Governance.
