Join EDF as a Senior Manager Customers P&R and you’ll support the Customers business in identifying opportunities and mitigating risks from existing and future policy and regulation.
Policy and Regulation is a strategic function critical to developing and managing the business. It forms part of the Strategy and Corporate Affairs Directorate which is one of the Corporate Functions within EDF in the UK. The Customers Policy and Regulation team work with the Customers Executive Team and other senior executives to identify, agree and implement policy and regulatory strategies best calculated to facilitate the achievement of EDF’s strategic goals.
In this role you will build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders at a working and senior level, particularly within Ofgem and BEIS, as well as represent EDF in industry forums, seeking to influence the development of energy policy and regulatory frameworks in line with EDF’s interests and agreed objectives. You’ll also advise on major projects including escalated compliance issues, the services we offer to customers to encourage their engagement in net zero, and support for vulnerable customers.

Reporting to the Head of Customers Policy and Regulation, your role will focus on important areas of Retail Market policy and regulation activity including existing regulation relevant to domestic and non domestic energy supply, as well as the transformation of the market to deliver Net Zero. You’ll take ownership for developing and agreeing with the Customers Business appropriate policy and regulatory strategies in line with EDF’s strategic goals, and implement those strategies through engagement with external stakeholders.
You’ll provide advice to Customers Business colleagues as required on relevant regulations as well as on new business initiatives, and will be responsible for leading and developing more junior team members to maximise their contribution to the achievement of team and individual goals, whilst creating a culture of excellence and inclusivity.
