About the team
The Communications and Engagement team includes specialists in the areas of Public Affairs, Public Communications, Stakeholder Engagement, Community Engagement and all areas of communication services at Sydney Metro. It is a dynamic team in a fast paced environment and manages a diverse range issues, communication tools and channels and is a great team to work in. The team sets a high standard and delivers exemplar communications.
The opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Manager, Business Change and Communications with extensive communications and change management experience, including knowledge of change methodologies and tools and their practical application. Your success will stem from your strong experience in all aspects of change management including communications, stakeholder management/engagement, change impact analysis, change readiness assessments and training delivery.
Reporting to Deputy ED Communications and Engagement, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of change management plans, activities, change communications plans and support the delivery of key organisation change programs and initiatives. You will drive collaboration across the business and support the leaders to deliver to the initiatives in line with the Sydney Metro Corporate Strategy and Business Plan.
You will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of change management and communications to successfully adopt, embed and address impacts relating to implementation of business projects. You will leverage insights to drive the change and communications activities to support and drive a continuous improvement agenda, business effectiveness, and ongoing employee engagement.

About you
Extensive experience in a similar role ideally within the Public Sector
Experience in successfully delivering organisation change and communications management for business projects and applying relevant OCM tools and frameworks
Demonstrated ability to provide specialist change and communication advice and recommendations involving complex considerations that influence decision-making
Proven project planning and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, managing competing priorities and meet deadlines
Experience in change consulting or already a Business Change and Communications Manager
Proven ability to identify obstacles, opportunities and issues involved in business change, and to plan and execute activities to address these
Strong analytical and judgement skills, with the ability to develop and compare alternative courses of action at a strategic or project level, arriving at well-reasoned recommendations
Excellent change management skills using various methodologies to execute change
High performing strategic thinker; able to act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and build effective internal and external relationships
Ability to work under own initiative
Tertiary qualifications in change process, communications change management or demonstrated equivalent experience
