Job Description Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk Team in Risk Division. This is a second line of defence role focussing on oversight of Strategic Transformational Change. Specifically the individual will need to oversee delivery and execution risks covering a range of initiatives aiming to digitise relationship banking focussed on micro, small and medium sized businesses. Prior experience gained at a Financial Technology Company or Innovative / Challenger Digital Bank desirable. We want someone with fresh thinking, is open minded / innovative and looks at things differently. The individual will lead a small team also responsible for oversight of Lending Products sold to Business & Commercial Banking clients and ensuring safe implementation of the FCA's new Consumer Duty.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk team, part of Lloyds Banking Group's second line Risk Division.

  • Experience overseeing the risks of building a digital bank covering Customer Understanding, Regulatory/Compliance, Change Risk and migration from legacy Infrastructure to new platforms/channels.  

  • Knowledge of FCA handbook standards, specifically but not limited to BCOBS, PROD, SYSC, PRIN, relevant regulation e.g. CCA and associated industry bodies / codes e.g. LSB, BBA, UK Finance.

  • Experience overseeing risks associated with Partnerships, Outsources or Third Parties desirable, including knowledge of EBA and PRA outsourcing guidelines and Rule Books.

  • Experience of working with senior leaders.

  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.

  • Knowledge of Business, Commercial / Wholesale Banking.

  • Proven ability overseeing strategic change, driving improvements to control frameworks/automation of controls.

  • Analytically minded and capable of undertaking data led monitoring – able to draw learnings / trends from internally and externally available data; experience using Power BI would be helpful.

  • Highly motivated, upbeat, self-starter with great diplomacy skills!

  • Be confident operating within a matrixed responsibilities model, working collaboratively within a wide range of people.
