The opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Senior Lawyer to join Sydney Metro’s high performing Legal team. Reporting to a Director Legal, you will deliver high quality, high value, timely and solutions focused legal services and independent advice for the organisation with a focus on front end construction procurement.
The role provides expert advice in relation to projects that are highly complex, highly sensitive, have a high profile and have high financial, reputational or operational risks, as well as on more day to day routine matters such as high volume construction and projects work.

About you
You are a proven professional looking for a career-defining opportunity to build a legacy for generations to come.
You will have demonstrated experience in providing expert legal advice on complex or contentious matters, and can influence and drive change with a thorough understanding of complex contractual terms and conditions.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with the legal and project teams in a complex project environment will be essential.
You will have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to balance competing priorities while providing consistent high quality strategic and responsive legal advice.
You will have strong analytical skills, and the ability to make commercial decisions within a legal context.
Eligible to hold a practicing certificate in NSW
Superior current knowledge and expertise in at least one of the following areas of law:
Front end construction law
Contract law on Infrastructure projects
Energy and Resources Law
Proven capability to develop skills in other practice areas
Salary and Benefits
