The opportunity
We have a new exciting opportunity for a Senior IT & Cyber Security Analyst, Security Operations role in the RDS Security & Risk Team. The role is permanent full-time based in Parramatta with flexible work practices.
What you will be involved in:
Deliver one or more cyber defence, risk, and resilience services, such as security operations, intelligence, and response, advisory, risk and assurance, culture, policy & compliance, business continuity, or portfolio delivery
Conduct research and analysis to support the continuous improvement of one or more of these services, to measurably reduce cyber and technology risk within agencies and across the cluster
Design, develop and implement tools and processes to support effective practices amongst cyber and risk teams across the cluster
Monitor the effectiveness of and provide recommendations related to one or more of these services
Build and maintain effective business relationships and collaborate to promote improved cyber defence, risk, and resilience practices.
Demonstrate the five ways of leading behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people, and communities for the greater good.

About you
To be successful in the role you will have:
Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated experience in SOC environment & responding to Security Incidents.
Demonstrated experience in Security Risk & Vulnerability Threat assessment.
Demonstrated experience in security tools/systems such as SIEM, Tripwire, Upguard, Prisma, Qualys, firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention protocols.
Desirable skills (if applicable):
Cyber Security Qualifications such as GSEC, GISF, GCED, GMON, GCCC.
IT Security Certifications such as CISSP (highly desirable), SSCP, CISM.
Demonstrated previous experience in an operational security role on large-scale mission critical systems in large Corporate or Government organisations across complex network and application landscape.
Demonstrated experience in adherence to Government data protection regulations and policies in large-scale mission-critical systems.
Demonstrated experience in ISO 27001 implementations and Compliance and PCI Audits.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 8 ($120,423.00 - $134,872.00) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
