We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our Internal Communications team as a Senior Internal Communications Partner based remotely part of the week and then working from a wilko location be that a store, our support centre or London office depending on the need.

As our Senior Internal Communications Partner you’ll lead a team that is at the heart of making our team members feel free to be at our best and free to belong. As we power forward to our 100th anniversary in 2030 we want to create a step-change in how we keep our team members informed, involved and confident about our exciting future. In this role you'll be a member of the HR Leadership Team reporting to the Group HR Director, responsible for leading internal communications for all team members across the wilko family of businesses.

Taking huge pride in what you do, your role will involve developing and implementing an Internal Communication strategy which makes certain all team members are connected, excited and committed to our Power to 2030 journey. Along with:

• Overseeing the development and delivery of internal communication campaigns and projects which inspire and mobilise team members to act on our purpose, strategy and values.
• Partnering with the business to develop and implement a channels and content strategy that balances digital and traditional mechanism to tell our story loudly and proudly and create deep support for our business goals.
• Advising the senior leadership team on how internal communication enables delivery of the strategic business plan and drives cultural change.
• Collaborating effectively across wilko with all business areas and BLT leaders in particular, with an especially close relationship with both the talent/capability and marketing teams.
• Drawing on feedback mechanisms to continually measure the effectiveness and impact of our internal communications activity.

For this role we need someone who is a creative, strategic, solution-oriented leader, and a natural collaborator with a confident and proactive style. Having extensive and proven experience of leading internal communications within a large, customer-focused, highly operational and multi-site business; with a strong track record of delivery in a matrixed and unionised environment. Having a passion for writing and engaging an audience, you'll have in depth and up to date knowledge and understanding of best-practice internal comms tools and techniques.
