Function Overview:

Citi is a major player in the world’s financial markets and as such is involved in conducting millions of trading events every day. As part of our responsibilities to financial regulators, clients and ourselves, Citi uses computer systems to identify and prevent fraudulent, malicious or erroneous behavior relating to its trades and financial services. To assist in this area, the Citi Trade Surveillance UX team is developing a unified software framework for the management of alerts raised by suspicious or inappropriate activity derived from the analysis of various trading data sources and tools.

Team Overview:

The Trade Surveillance UX team has a need for a Senior Full Stack WEB developer to contribute to the teams overall strength and help it provide good quality software solutions using the latest WEB technologies working with large data loads in a secure banking environment.

Responsibilities will include:

• Deliver trade surveillance Spring Boot Java and Angular/Angular JS software components which follow data driven configurations so they can be widely re-used and scaled.

• Work with business partners and Business Analysts (BA’s) to understand requirements, providing task breakdown and effort/time estimates, and then deliver efficient software solutions to the time agreed.

• Provide production support that includes evaluate efforts, investigate cause and come up with solutions to address defects

• Write reusable, testable, and efficient Oracle SQL queries and stored procedures.

• Lead by example in integrity, commitment, being customer and results focused, and being a valuable contributor in technical and performance problem solving.

• Provide technical coaching for other more junior/graduate developers working on the same project.

Required Skills:

• In-depth understanding and experience with Java Web Technologies and Web frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or similar), UI and backend Database

• Deep knowledge/prior professional experience working with Angular/AngularJS and Bootstrap, or experience with one or more other JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, ExtJS)

• Experienced in build tools Jenkins, Maven

• Experience in developing optimized DB table designs and queries

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Flexible attitude and a motivated self-starter, proactive, takes responsibility and initiative

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
