The Company

Having been founded ~5 years ago, this incredibly successful NZ SaaS company is growing exponentially in their main market of the USA. They develop an AI/ML based software that improves productivity for doctors/nurses and patient outcomes for millions of patients in the USA. The company is already incredibly successful seeing customer numbers grew by ~15x in the last 12 months with a projected growth rate for 2022 of another 15x. The founders and very experienced in scaling global SaaS companies and are very well funded for the next stage of growth given they have just completed a funding round of > $20m.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be working alongside ~20 others in the development team. The software ingests millions of events from healthcare systems using Scala Lambdas and Kinesis, with this Data Services team focused in this space. The data stack uses AWS managed services (S3, redshift, Glue and Kinesis Firehose), with code being deployed multiple times per day using advanced CI/CD techniques. Experience with different data processing techniques (MapReduce, ETL, Apache Spark etc) is beneficial although you don't need experience with all. The Data Services team works predominantly with Scala although if you have experience with Java or have experience working with multiple languages, we would love to hear from you
