The Division
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan Division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure. In the Community and Place branch, we engage with customers, communities and stakeholders to ensure their needs are considered in the development and delivery of Transport’s plans, strategies, services and programs across NSW.
We do this by working with teams across Transport and sharing community and place insights.

The Opportunity
Right now we have a fixed-term opportunity for a Senior Disaster Recovery and Stimulus Manager to join Community and Place Division. Based out of the South boundry, this role will provide strategic, operational and specialist support to management on the development, implementation and monitoring of work designed to deliver major disaster recovery and stimulus programs across Regional NSW whilst also delivering customer and community outcomes.
Leading and overseeing all aspects of program development and implantation across a portfolio in addition to preparing and assessing the financial scope and scheduling estimates for the various complex programs.

In this critical role, you possess a wealth of program management experience paired with strong communication, analytical and people skills. problem-solving ability, you are well-versed in core program management competencies including scope management, budget management, stakeholder management, risk management, decision making.

You understand the needs of your stakeholders and customers. You measure success in the impact of your programs and breadth of cross-functional contribution.
We have offices in Wollongong, Bega and Wagga Wagga. This role requires a commitment to travel to a large number of sites across the region due to the extent of damage experienced by councils.
