YOUR MISSION
You’ll be a delivery expert, championing the solution and the process; keeping projects within estimates and agreed timelines while cultivating a happy team and elevating our client's experience.
YOU WILL
Have a good understanding of Scrum and Waterfall practices.
Work with the client service team and the client directly to understand the client’s overall business objectives and strategies.
Work with the wider Journey team to design, develop and deliver mobile apps, web applications and custom websites.
Scope large projects, develop Statement of Work documents.
Be accountable for managing project timelines and budgets.
Develop detailed project plans for project delivery.
Manage the delivery process, sprint plans and identify scope creep.
Write user stories so all requirements are clear and easy to understand.
Run daily project stand-ups, project retrospectives, sprint planning sessions, backlog grooming, etc.
Facilitate workshops and other requirement-gathering meetings.
Lead and/or facilitate the presentation of deliverables to clients.
Prepare project financial reports and monitor billing activity for projects as part of the effort to ensure profitability.
Manage project risks and assumptions.
Manage and schedule project resources.
Motivate and build an outstanding team culture within the production team.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
You’ll have 4+ years’ experience working in an agency as a Senior Digital Producer, Digital Project Manager, Scrum Master or Delivery Manager.
Technically savvy, with experience in delivering digital solutions, including content management systems, mobile apps, web apps.
You know and have proven experience working with Scrum and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
You understand best practices in the digital landscape, including usability, design, development and project management.
You have experience in leading cross-functional teams (including creative and technology), by setting project objectives and managing them.
Demonstrated experience through the entire lifecycle of digital development from information architecture to prototyping, user testing, internal testing and bug-fixing.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THIS ROLE
Journey is a company that is transitioning from Waterfall to Scrum. Therefore, you may be required to concurrently work on Waterfall and Scrum projects across multiple clients. It’s vital that you have had some experience working in a fast-paced digital agency on a variety of projects and clients.
It is also vital that your Production/Project Management experience has been on digital development projects (websites, apps, software). We will be unable to consider your application if you have not accumulated project management experience in this specific area.
Due to current COVID border and visa restrictions, we can only review candidates who have a valid work visa/working rights for New Zealand, and are currently located in NZ.
This is a permanent, full-time role located in our Kingsland, Auckland office. Whilst we have a flexible working policy (for those based in Auckland), remote working (outside of Auckland) will not be possible for this role.
