About the team
The Infrastructure and Place division is charged with the delivery of an ambitious and once-in-a generation program of public infrastructure works. We are developing and delivering smart, integrated and sustainable infrastructure and places that are valued by our customers and communities.
The opportunity
Due to the incredible scale of infrastructure investment that has been committed to by the NSW State Government, which is outlined in the NSW Future Transport Strategy, we have exciting opportunities for 3 x Senior Development Managers to join our established Development team in Sydney. In this role you will be working on the high-profile Redfern & North Eveleigh Precinct Renewal.
As many projects are transport enabled urban renewal projects, experience in both the property development and infrastructure sectors is an advantage.
Our Senior Development Managers are part of the Program Director’s senior leadership team, responsible for identifying and driving opportunities to develop underutilised government owned lands, implementing integrated transport and property development solutions and delivering upon government objectives to maximise return on investment.
As Senior Development Manager, your main accountabilities will be:
Identify, evaluate and define development and repurpose opportunities for residual or underutilised land in the transport portfolio.
Maximise development opportunities from inception through design, approvals and delivery.
Define and lead project business cases, strategy, planning, and specialist consultants to deliver the project objectives.
Provide high quality commercial advice for priority initiatives to achieve the required governance and best commercial outcomes for all parties.
Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams which may include commercial, property, finance and legal teams etc.
Build and maintain strong networks and stakeholders relationships across the industry and transport cluster.
Plan and manage the procurement of consultants and specialist advisors.
Evaluate, plan and manage complex procurements and property transactions.
Work with diverse stakeholder groups including across the NSW Government, local Government.
As a Senior Development Manager you will be responsible for leading project workstreams/stages - strong skills in leading teams is required.

About you
A Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline with extensive experience across the project development lifecycle.
A demonstrated ability to build and deploy multi-disciplinary teams in a complex and often challenging mixed use environment.
The ability to review and flex systems and processes to manage risk and drive improve outcomes for investments.
Advanced communication, relationship building and influencing skills to engage, influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Salary and Benefits
These Transport Senior Service Band 1A roles are fixed term full-time until December 2025 and offer an attractive remuneration package.
