The role

The Sidekicker Product & Engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining the platform that thousands of Sidekicks and businesses rely on everyday. We are constantly looking to break new ground to connect business to the right workers.

Our team is growing fast and we’re looking for a Senior Delivery Lead to be the founding member of our delivery practice and uplift our delivery capabilities.

As a Senior Delivery Lead, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of exciting new projects from discovery to launch, planning, scoping and prioritising user stories, communicating with stakeholders and orchestrating successful product launches. You’ll also play a key role in motivating cross-functional teams by creating alignment around customer outcomes and fostering a collaborative team environment.

You’ll get to:

Take ownership of the delivery of multiple product initiatives from start to finish.

Establish and coach engineering leaders on delivery best practices.

Collaborate with the product team on scoping and prioritisation.

Manage expectations, track and report progress of milestones to stakeholders.

Work together with Engineering leadership on estimating effort and managing risk.

Break down project briefs into epics and user stories.

Plan the roadmap and sequence of agile sprints.

Ensure team members are aligned and focused on the most important tasks.

Work to improve the operating rhythm of scrum teams by removing blockers, encouraging the adoption of effective rituals and facilitating team-building workshops.

Orchestrate and communicate project release plans.

Set, measure and report on delivery success metrics.

What you bring:

Several years of experience delivering software projects.

Extensive practical knowledge of agile methodologies.

A high-level technical understanding of how modern web applications are built.

Enthusiasm for working with diverse cross-functional teams, driving change, motivating people towards an outcome and celebrating success.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Robust experience leading teams, coaching individuals, building relationships and persuading decision-makers.

Strong organisation and attention to detail.

A love of problem-solving, finding creative solutions to challenging situations.
