The Division
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan (ROM) division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure. Sitting within the ROM division, the Network and Assets Branch are the Custodian of the regional road and rail network.
They manage the assets to deliver safe, sustainable and integrated services to regional communities.
The opportunity
A permanent opportunity has arisen within ROM, Outer Metro for an experienced Senior Contracts Officer to join their high performing team.
The Senior Contracts Officer aids in the procurement, contract development management for transport services to contribute to the overall customer experience.
The role also plays a key role in the development, negotiation and ongoing contract management and governance of the services contracts for the provision of transport services.
Your key accountabilities are:
Management of service contracts with transport service providers across the sub-branch to ensure that they comply with their contractual obligations, including performance standards, and provide cost effective, safe and efficient services to customers.
Coordinate the management of service contracts with other areas within Transport for NSW to ensure that they comply with their contractual obligations.
Partner across boundaries both internally and externally, including participating in meetings and forums with service providers and industry representatives, to develop and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with transport service providers and other key stakeholders.
Prepare analysis, accurate and timely advice, information and reports on any performance management, contractual matter, obligation and/or dispute.
Develop and draft advice, responses and appropriate correspondence to transport service providers and other areas within Transport for NSW on contractual issues to inform decision-making.
About you
Our ideal candidate is an experienced contracts professional, with experience in service delivery contracts, and an understanding of commercial and contract law or Public Sector statutory requirements.
You are highly analytical, details driven, and have exposure to setting in place, and measuring, Contractor performance against KPI’s.
You are a driven, self-starter who has a flair for building strong, lasting relationships with your stakeholders and team.
Formal qualifications in procurement, law, commerce, business or economics is desired, but not essential, as is exposure to the Transport industry.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is a Grade 7 $106,086 - $118,816 per annum, plus superannuation, flex, and leave loading.
