Robert Half is recruiting now an experienced Network Engineer to fulfill a contract/temporary role for our Edmonton Client. As the successful Candidate for the role you will contribute to the corporate strategy, planning, implementation, maintenance, monitoring and lifecycle management of the deployed enterprise network. You will also be accountable for the support for all company wide network solutions (WAN and LAN), troubling shooting issues and problem resolution. Your  solid technical knowledge of network and infrastructure engineering and design combined with robust working experience within complex global network environments makes you the ideal candidate for this role. This role is based in the Edmonton, AB. region but is available for remote work/work from home permissions for eligible candidates.

Requirements

MUST HAVES:

• 7 + years proven working success in a similar role combined with solid hands-on experience with  switching and routing, load balancers, firewalls and networking hardware and protocols
• Proficient knowledge and working experience in load balancing with Citrx Netscaler
• Advanced working knowledge and experience with security firewalls utilizing Cisco ASA and Firepower Services
• Strong working knowledge of LAN/WAN networking hardware and protocols.
• Solid experience in network and infrastructure engineering and design
• Self- starter with the ability to problem solve, make decisions and prioritize solutions
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various levels and types of users along with strong demonstrated written communication skills
•  Excellent analytical ability and providing quality results with a strong focus on client service
• At minimum, diploma/certificate in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Engineering or related discipline
