Within MS Digital, Enterprise - 360 is the team that engineers, deploys and manages the internal Microsoft network infrastructure.  We deliver industry leading network solutions that address Microsoft business needs at a global scale. As an E-360 engineer, you are responsible for the design, deployment, and operations of network devices including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls. The focus of this position is to design and deploy infrastructure solutions that provide the underpinning for client and server connectivity within the Microsoft network. This job includes interaction with multiple teams including product teams, infrastructure and security teams, and service/project management teams. E-360 Engineers are expected to adapt in a dynamic environment, work with tight timelines for project deployments, and work collaboratively with teammates.

Responsibilities

Core fundamental aspects of the position: 

• Providing consulting and establishing a Trusted Advisor relationship on Wireless networking and security solutions, as well as technology solutions in general.
• Implementing and potentially troubleshooting networking and security solutions, and integrating with existing underlay legacy networking vendors
• Work on complex problems requiring in-depth fault analysis and troubleshooting.
• Provide Complete services lifecycle for the customers including Plan, Design, Implementation, Migration and Optimization
• Working on continuous improvement of network operations, uptime, and security conformance.
• Formulate technical action plans for analyzing and resolving problems.
• Participate in solutions for knowledge base and provide technical cross-training to relevant groups as needed.
• Participate in live site and business reviews.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of success demonstrating leadership and technical growth
• 10+ years of experience developing enterprise level network solutions
• Demonstrated experience with deep understanding of one or more of the following areas of enterprise networking Modern enterprise network design, implementation, and troubleshooting, including DNS, DHCP, spanning tree, network access control technologies, including 802.1X, IGRP routing protocols and remote access technologies including IPsec.
• Working Experience with protocol level understanding of Switching technologies – VLAN, STP (all types), LACP, Virtual switching – Aruba VSX or Cisco VSS / VSP or equivalent, spine-leaf architecture
• Expert level knowledge of routing & routing protocols e.g. ISIS, OSPF, BGP, policy-based routing
• Experience with MPLS overlay environments which include L3VPN virtual private network design and implementation.
• Working experience with 802.1x, Radius, TACACS+, firewalls, security policies, access lists.
• Expert level knowledge of analyzing packet captures & Protocol analysis
• Working Experience with site surveys and site design tools for the purpose of efficient and effective deployment of WLAN.
• Working knowledge or experience with RF Spectrum analysis tools (Ekahau, Netscout)
• Working Knowledge with Ansible automation orchestration.
• Highly desired to have scripting skills in Python and YAML
• Certifications: CWNA, CWNE, CCIE-Wireless (preferred may not require)
