A great opportunity is B4 you! Chances Dawson Creek is currently looking for a Security Manager ready to hit the ground running and be part of the management team. Under the direction of the Regional Security Manager, this position will be responsible for the planning and directing of security/surveillance initiatives along with the overall management and effectiveness of security/surveillance operations at the site level. In addition, this position ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, motivates, and leads by example, and provides a learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. This includes developing performance objectives and delivering performance evaluations for direct reports
Key Accountabilities:
- Providing leadership, direction and mentoring to the security/surveillance operations at the site level, including developing performance objectives and delivering performance evaluations for direct reports
- Support implementing security/surveillance strategic plans as directed by Director, Security Operations
- Support the monitoring of the site security/surveillance budgets; reports variances; makes recommendations to the Director, Security Operations.
- Support and oversee various critical security systems (e.g., Key Control, Itrak, Access/Surveillance systems)
- Support and develop the implementation training for security/surveillance operations; ensures team members are trained under accordingly (National Training Program/Emergency Response Procedures)
- Support prepare and maintain site-specific tactical responses to emergency events along with managing annual drill procedures
- Reviewing reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities and identifies the need for investigations, escalations and conducts as directed
- Foster and implement an environment based on the Company’s Violence Prevention Policy
- Overseeing the site First Aid Program; reviews First Aid reports; ensures First Aid staff are appropriately trained and scheduled according to jurisdiction
- Implement and adhere to all Company and regulatory policies and procedures to ensure the highest regards for Compliance
- Establish performance objectives and succession plan for team members to ensure growth and development
- Conduct on-going site risk assessments; identifies areas of practice or equipment that meet security best practices; identifies opportunities for efficiencies to the Director, Security Operations.
- Administering evacuations; prepares evacuation checklists
- Maintaining National database of active team members
- Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, regulatory bodies, management, and team members
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned and/or directed
Educational Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in gaming security or surveillance management
- Post-secondary education or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service oriented communication
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- GSO Certification an asset
- Ability to successfully obtain a Servin It Right certificate
- Must be First Aid Certified based on jurisdiction
- A passion for providing outstanding service to our internal and external guests
