We have an opportunity for a Security & Access Control Support Officer to join our team based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, 08:00 - 17:00
Key Responsibilities will include:
Manage and maintain key routine contract Security Administration tasks, including but not limited to; Security Clearance applications and aftercare (Annual Security Appraisals),
Security Management Plans, Confidentiality Agreements and laptop approvals.
To support in the administration of the IAS Security Clearance, Security Management Plan (SMP) and Client Confidentiality Agreement databases and their associated process activities.
Assist in the development and delivery of Security Education & Awareness Training (SEAT)
Programs to a range of stakeholders (i.e. New Joiners, following incidents or senior manager’s presentations). As well as assisting in the completion of the relevant modules of the Client’s Mandatory Security Education programme (iLearn).
As required, and under the direction of the G4S DSIAM, undertake security audits and report on findings, suggesting corrective actions based on the analysis of the gathered information.
Produce monthly and security performance reports to monitor security performance as required.
Ensure management systems and records, including the Access Control System accounts and system, are administered and maintained accurately.
To deputise and provide support and cover for the G4S Deputy Security and Information
Assurance Manager and the G4S Access Control Manager during periods of absence.
Be conversant with the G4S Health and Safety Management System and to comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and emergency procedures as required.
Key Health and Safety accountabilities include:
Working safely and efficiently and with due regard for their own health and safety and the health and safety and the welfare of others including, Company staff, Authority staff, contractors and members of the public etc.
Not interfering or misusing anything provided by G4S or the Authority in the interests of health, safety and welfare in pursuance of any of the relevant statutory provisions.
Adhering to safe systems of work procedures and practices and using appropriate safety devices, equipment and clothing provided by G4S
Reporting to the appropriate person all unsafe conditions, damage, near misses - whether or not there are any personal injuries, in order that remedial action can be taken.
Familiarising themselves with and complying with all site rules, regulations, practices and procedures affecting health and safety.
Attending safety training in accordance with the G4S Company requirements.
To comply with Part B of the Health and Safety company procedure and emergency procedures as required.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Essential Criteria:
Motivated and Confident
Must be IT literate, fully conversant with MS Office, particularly Excel
Good planning and organisational skills
Demonstrable administration skills
Used to working with confidential and sensitive information.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills with integrity, tact and diplomacy.
Able to work under pressure and manage a variety of priorities.
Must be a UK National and able to achieve the requisite level of government security clearance (DV).
Full DV clearance is desirable but not essential
