Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in SAP technologies and systems
• Experience in project management, change management, and process improvement

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in SAP SuccessFactors or similar payroll systems
• Experience in project management, system improvements, troubleshooting, and optimization and working with engineering teams to execute system improvements
• Experience providing technical support to an SAP, finance, or enterprise resource planning operation
• Ability to partner with multiple internal and external business stakeholders, partners, and functions
• Ability to be technical and understand complex system architecture and design
• Excellent change management skills

The Finance Operations team manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you'll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You'll make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our extended workforce partners and internally, you will collaborate across the multiple areas of the Financial Operations team.

Our Global Payroll team's mission is to ensure the employee payroll experience is seamless. The Global Payroll organization is responsible for paying employees accurately and on time, while meeting our reporting, compliance, and tax obligations globally.

In this role, you will ensure our technical support to SAP payroll operates as smoothly and efficiently as possible. In partnership with our external and internal systems and engineering partners, you'll develop and optimize our support to SAP payroll. You will have assistance from SAP software developers to help you optimize how we deliver SAP payroll and achieve our long-term goals.

Responsibilities

• Balance technical delivery of the SAP payroll cycle through analysis of key issues, assessment of critical processes, and stakeholder interactions.
• Develop the roadmap for our long-term technical support of SAP payroll delivery. Be the liaison between Payroll Operations and Engineering teams to optimize our SAP payroll function.
• Drive process improvements and refinements across payroll processing.
• Support SAP payroll by prioritizing key improvement projects to stabilize and enhance our payroll delivery.
• Drive improvements in training and process documentation across Operations, identifying training and knowledge opportunities.
