Through development and training, you will provide technical solutions and support for order to delivery processes in the logistics area within an established SAP ERP environment.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with the SAP logistics functional team and programmers to deliver solutions which fulfil the business requirements using SAP enhancements and local developments. You will be involved in software design & build decisions as well as application maintenance and operations.

We deliver solutions via an agile working model, so experience in agile software development (including the use of tools such as JIRA and Confluence) would be beneficial.

As we will be moving from an ECC 6.0 landscape to S/4 HANA in the future, exposure to S/4 HANA or involvement in previous transition projects is desirable.

You will have the ability to:

• Take functional business requirements and transform them into an effective design, working with a programmer (if necessary) to progress through build to testing and deployment.
• Engage other technical team members including external consultants and BMW central IT in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.
• You will have a good understanding and experience of logistics functions available in SAP – esp. Logistics, Material Management (MM) Quality Management (QM) Production Planning (PP), Inventory Management (MM-IM) Warehouse Management (WM or EWM) Plant Maintenance (PM) and Sales & Distribution (SD).
• Manage the technical aspects of SAP maintenance, acting as the primary point of contact to the central SAP Basis team for technical SAP changes.
• Support an operational system, investigate and resolve issues and ensure a stable operational environment.
• Set up interfaces using a variety of middleware technologies.
• Develop, code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration and acceptance tests and use testing tools for functions of high complexity.
• Undertake performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions.
• Engage other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.
   

Qualifications

• A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
• Experience required:
• Experience working with SAP.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Comfortable interacting with business users at different management levels.
