About this role

Deliver critical execution of BT’s mobile market share growth strategy to our customers and BTLB partners, by providing their specialist technical knowledge to acquire new business.

Fundamentally field based customer facing sales specialists, focusing on mobility acquisition opportunities across the wide range of 0-100 seat SME customers within their territory. Delivering an outstanding customer sales experience by asking brilliant questions to ensure BT understand our customer’s business challenges and propose effective solutions. ​

Responsible for working alongside and educating BT Local Businesses, with an acquisition focus, to coach and create opportunities, to develop and close sales through sustained prospecting and activity. 

They will be able to develop strong internal relationships delivering solutions to meet customer demands and target requirements (Volume & Value).

BT Enterprise has around 1.2 million customers and serve over half the FTSE 350. Our customers range from big household names, government departments and public service organisations right through to small businesses and new start-ups. We cover both the communications and IT services markets. Overall we’re focused on four main product markets: Fixed Voice; Mobility; Fibre and connectivity; networked IT services provided over the biggest UK network in both fixed and mobile communications. We also provide network IT services to corporate and public sector organisations in the Republic of Ireland.

 

You'll have the following responsibilities

Delivery of 100%+ of mobile sales targets.

Supports both existing BT accounts and new business opportunities by providing mobility technical expertise.

Driving all key measurable KPI’s that underpin the expected sales performance.

Bring an acquisition sales skill set for winning new business for BT​

Sales coaching capability with regard multiple to complex stakeholder management skills. Including:-​

Customer – inc C-level, varying customer size,​

BTLB – MD’s, sales teams, field sales, desk opps​

BT – PSM, Specialist peers, Trading, Commercial, Customer Service & Order Management, Propositions, Product, Marketing.​

Market developments and customer insight will be needed in order to contribute to the wider Field Sales strategy. Bringing these messages to life with their sales teams to maximise market opportunity (e.g. 5G, Convergence).​

Maintain a high awareness and knowledge of the SME market, including industry, competitors and telecoms and internal activities to ensure that all business opportunities are identified, considered and implemented appropriately ​

You'll have the following skills & experience

Give specialised advice: Offers expert advice on subject expertise building rapport with stakeholders as a trusted advisor.

Be creative: Is curious about the organisation and seeks out challenging situations for themselves and others.  Captures ideas for new ways of working

Hold others to account: Understands expectations and processes for ethics and values in BT. Manages their team in line with those standards, challenging poor behaviours.

Acquisition sales & Mobility sales skills – be able to sell “change”. Know how to open doors and deliver beneficial solutions to new customers

Build customer relationships - Act as an ambassador for BT across the external market and within internal stakeholders, demonstrating best in class sales behaviour and delivery of excellent customer experience

Sales planning & identifying sales opportunities - use of sales methodologies and processes to manage KPI performance

Business acumen - Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, commercial acumen and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, customer ROI, business cases)

 

Experiences

MANDATORY

Proven track record in an Acquisition sales role

Proven track record in Mobility sales

Demonstrative history of achieving sales targets

Evidenced sales planning capability, including KPI’s used to drive outcomes

Commercial thinker who uses internal/external insights for creating compelling customer propositions.

PREFERRED

Experience of working with a 3rd party channel in a “sell with” model to deliver mutual commercial success

Wider understanding of internet, IP, SaaS and security sales in the IT & Comms sector

Sales coaching experience of supporting others

Understanding of sales methodologies
