Role Purpose
The role holder is responsible for leading the team that acquires new business in Enterprise and Public Sector, by leading sales of voice, contact centre and unified communications solutions.
The objective of the Voice & Collaboration sales team is to deliver net new business in excess of £60m per annum, whilst maintaining and enhancing the commercial performance of the product lines sold and influencing the future roadmap and strategy of the portfolio.
Key Responsiblities
- Defining and delivering a new business sales plan across the voice and collaboration product categories; working with product managers, marketing and account teams to deliver dramatic growth in adoption of VMO2 Businesses products across our customer base.
- Achieving Sales Targets through
- Demand generation activity in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, & vendors/third parties.
- Building awareness, understanding and prospecting capability within the direct account teams to identify and uncover high quality prospects
- Owning and leading new business opportunities from qualification through to deal closure
- Continuously qualifying and aligning specialist resource to maximise return on sales investment and effectiveness
- Promoting VMO2’s voice and collaboration capabilities in the market place
- Leading and motivating a team of 15-20 highly skilled and motivated sales specialists to develop compelling customer propositions and close new business across key vertical market segments
- Leading exec engagements at CIO, CFO and board level on strategic opportunities (with values in excess of £5m), managing internal stakeholders to make the commitments required to deliver major new accounts and contract wins.
- Capturing customer insight and influencing the product roadmap so that we develop products and services that challenge the market and exceed expectations
- Creating a strong performance & growth culture, managing performance effectively through close 1-2-1 interaction and personal development.
What We Need From You
Essential
- Proven track record of leading sales teams and working in matrix organisations
- ​​​​​​The ability to drive change and the ability to lead a motivated team culture
- Industry leading understanding & experience of traditional and emerging voice and collaboration technologies; with thought provoking opinions on how businesses can use them
Highly Desirable
- Superb written and spoken presentation skills
- Commercial acumen and experience in creating win-win propositions and driving deals to a successful agreement.
- Expertise of Opportunity Qualification, Proposition Development and Account Planning methodologies at a level that enables coaching and mentoring of sales teams to improve their performance
