Job Description

What will you be doing?

You will look to enhance sales through approaching small to medium businesses currently being serviced by competitors, meeting monthly sales targets based on achieving a minimum net revenue growth target and maintaining a portfolio of existing customers via a retention target.

By communicating with the operations and customer support teams, you will ensure effective customer service is always provided, following customer support processes to ensure effective customer service and record keeping is maintained.

You will also be responsible for undertaking risk assessments/site surveys prior to sales, as the operations and customer support teams are reliant on this information to provide excellent customer service.

Building and maintaining relationships with potential customers is key - these will be primarily small to medium enterprises that are not already Veolia customers. It will include contact through door to door and telesales activity so you will need to be able to form relationships quickly and communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure that the customer can be set up quickly and receive the service they expect. All whilst adhering to sales procedures (for example Sales Force) inputting daily activity and contracts; contractual paperwork, waste transfer notes, service agreement and direct debits mandates.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in sales is preferred, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Experience in delivering presentations in a professional manner
  • Financial acumen & operational knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work as an individual or part of a team
  • Waste industry knowledge would be desirable but not essential.
