We're looking for an experienced and dynamic Sales and Operations Planning professional to join our growing team. You will lead the development of the S&OP function at Deliveroo.
The role
Reporting to the Director of UKI Operations, you will establish understanding between our sales and operations teams. The primary function of the S&OP team is ownership of the single source of truth for order volume forecasting - ensuring that current and seasonal run rate trends are factored into planning whilst overlaying demand generation programmes to improve network capacity optimisation.
You will directly partner with Marketing, Commercial, Sales, Operations and Finance. The S&OP Manager serves as the expert for demand planning, network optimisation and capacity planning while supporting multiple projects including; monthly demand plans, network and rider supply strategy optimisation, integration of promotions and new product launches.
You will work on your own (and as a team) to resolve areas of concern and by communicating proficiently with multiple partners. You will be an executor and a leader, an authority on Deliveroo sales and operations planning and an important part of the UK Operations Management team. You will ensure identification, monitoring and reporting of assumptions, risks and opportunities relating to the medium and long-term business targets. You will hold team members and functions to account for agreed actions for mitigation of risk or realisation of opportunities as identified by the S&OP process.
Central to this role will be the ability to engage with multiple partners across a broad range of functions both locally and centrally.
Your responsibilities will include:
Oversee all strategic S&OP and Demand Planning activities across Deliveroo UKI
Facilitate weekly and monthly demand forecast aggregation, including agreement between functions and partners.
Create excellent demand planning and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
Monitor the demand plan performance throughout the month to provide detailed input to Sales and Marketing management for use in demand review and S&OP meetings.
Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics such as demand forecast accuracy of network capacity
Play a role in Network Optimisation Process to reduce cost and maximise service
Work with central functions and local team to develop capacity simulation process to run sensitivity analysis for growth
Become an expert on Deliveroo operations and the end-to-end fulfilment process
Find areas for improvement, seek the best solution, and accomplish them
Build relationships across the business that allow you to remove barriers for the team and influence when needed
Demonstrate an understanding of how every action in Operations has second- and third-order impacts and how to plan for that
Take our priorities into account to lead project work to a very high standard
Lead the function within UKI Operations
Attain the knowledge to represent the ops function in discussions with senior partners
Requirements
Broad experience building and running a complicated S&OP process
Partner management and communication - this team only succeeds if it can engage and collaborate across the business
Understanding of financial systems within a operational environment.
Skills in strategy and communication at all levels

Strategic - able to 'think big' by understanding the dynamics of our business
