Opportunity for a Roster (Workforce) Co-ordinator to join our St John Operations team. This is a fantastic role that offers you the flexibility to work a combination of days between home and the office. The office base will be St John National HQ, 600 Great South Rd. The team you will be part of work collaboratively together in a high-trust team environment.
St John is at the frontline of medical response, providing Ambulance Services throughout New Zealand. Our frontline ambulance officers are the emergency arm of the health system. Our Patient Transfer Service provides safe, comfortable and reliable transport for District Health Boards, private hospitals and other customers.
As a Roster (Workforce) Co-ordinator you will effectively coordinate the administrative function of workforce planning to ensure St John staff are in the right place at the right time. You will work closely with our Northland based ambulance staff, Patient Transfer Services Operations Management team and Shift Supervisors to achieve these goals and will also be responsible for ongoing maintenance of database records for daily staff rosters, managing weekly rosters and administering leave requests.
It is a busy and varied role supporting a 24 hour 7-day operation where no two days are the same. You will juggle meeting the staffing service levels along with the needs of our staff. We are looking for a professional and adaptable administrator/coordinator with a can do attitude. You may be in or have exposure to a similar workforce planning role looking for a change or you may be interested in learning more and giving it a go. We will require proven skills in juggling multiple tasks efficiently in another recent role. This is a service orientated role so picking up the phone and talking must be enjoyable to you.
