About the Team

The Technical Services branch, within the Infrastructure and Place unit, provides specialised engineering services for the multi-modal delivery, operations and management of our transport network. The Traffic Signal Design team sits within the Technical Services branch. 

The Traffic Signal Design team provides robust technical road design advice and solutions on various ongoing projects across NSW. We work closely with other disciplines in Technical Services with a common goal to deliver sustainable and safe intersection road designs for all users.

The Opportunity 

Due to the unprecedented scale of investment in the Transport for NSW Future Transport strategy we have exciting opportunities for Road Designers to join the Road Design team in Wollongong.

The role provides direction, expertise, and a hands-on approach in leading the design of roads and related structures. Collaborating with Transport Planners, Traffic Modellers and Project Management team to plan and manage road design options.

About You 

You will have: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience with design of roads and related structures within infrastructure
• Knowledge of Transport for NSW (formally RMS) standards.
• Proficiency in OpenRoads / 12D / Civil 3D
• Be willing to undertake and complete Road Safety Auditor training.
