What you'll do

In your new role, you’ll lead the second line compliance oversight for our capital management transactions. That involves developing and maintaining a robust control framework for first line capital management transactions and challenging business-led initiatives. You’ll provide risk management expertise across the broad spectrum of key risk disciplines, including portfolio management and regulatory compliance too.

Day to day, you’ll also:

• Oversee a robust governance framework that supports effective decision making
• Support our Risk Oversight team with a number of high-profile, customer-focused and regulatory deliverables
• Make sure that growth in capital management transactions is managed in a safe, sustainable and compliant manner

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with extensive knowledge of capital requirements regulation and industry practices. You’ll also understand capital management, including securitisation and debt sales and acquisitions. A strategic thinker, you’ll have the ability to simplify complex and conflicting tasks and policy positions for your stakeholders too.

You’ll also need:

• The ability to work collaboratively across the three lines of defence, including Executive level
• An understanding of both ringfence and non-ringfence operations and regulations
• Expertise in the conduct and operational risk aspects of capital management activities
• Knowledge across the mid-corporate and corporate banking segments
