You will be responsible for being a trusted advisor and driving readiness in relation to all security related or lifecycle events for customer facing Microsoft employees as well as customers of all service levels in Japan and assisting in the APAC region.
The role includes significant customer and partner evangelism on all security and strategy related matters, including escalations with an emphasis on Microsoft’s monthly security releases. Internal teams will look to this security professional for support and collaboration on strategic engagements and public events in the region.
Stakeholders in local subsidiaries across the region including Public Relations, Field Support, and senior technology and security officers will look for this role to provide guidance and support on local issues with particular care around the cultural sensitivities required in each locale.
During times of crisis the candidate will execute the Emergency Response Plan for the region, taking a lead in all aspects of the identification, response, mitigation and resolution of the issue, taking care to implement learnings as part of a continual process of improvement.
The role is part of a worldwide team driving innovation into new and existing security programs to improve Microsoft and customers security experiences.
Language Qualification
Fluent Japanese
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred Skills:
CISSP Security Certification preferred
CISM Security Certification a plus
MCSE Security+ preferred
Background in the security field, Microsoft customer support operations, Crisis Response or Disaster Recovery a plus
Qualifications:
A candidate will need to meet the following qualifications:
Strong program management and project management skills with experience in developing processes
Good understanding of customer support processes and organization
A passion to deeply understand customers and technology
Proven ability to work cross-group with individuals around the world
At least 3 years’ experience in Information Security
At least 3 years program / project management experience
A BA/BS (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Business is preferred
