• You’ll be pivotal in creating and embedding an effective and efficient risk management framework, working with a wide network of stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority

What you'll do

You’ll support the development and execution of centrally managed components of the Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework (EWRMF) for the Group and NatWest Holdings, agreed by the Board and acceptable to regulators and other stakeholders. This includes supporting the creation of briefings for the Executive and Board to support the ongoing management risk appetite, policy and other centrally managed components of the EWRMF to enable sound-decision making and the delivery of sustainable customer value.

You’ll also:

• Drive effective management of risk appetite, policy and other centrally managed components of the Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework across subsidiary legal entities, ensuring that they are reviewed annually and remain fit for purpose
• Support the Director of Risk teams in overseeing the implementation of risk appetite, policy and other centrally managed framework components across the organisation
• Be responsible for the simplification and efficiency of risk management methodologies and related control activities
• Provide effective and strong stakeholder engagement and management across the bank
• Support dialogue with the firm's executive management and external stakeholders on framework implementation, liaise and manage the communication with external regulators and rating agencies on internal and external related deliverables
• Support and promote target risk culture, practices and behaviours in all deliverables and in other teams with which we work

The skills you'll need

You'll need an in-depth and holistic understanding of risk across multiple risk types and risk and control frameworks in financial services organisations, as well as a robust understanding of external regulations and best practice guidance relating to risk frameworks and their impact on the business.

You’ll also need:

• The proven ability to simplify complex and conflicting tasks, ensuring that these are effectively managed and communicated
• Excellent communication skills, with the proven ability to work credibly with stakeholders, and give challenge when required
• The ability to challenge the norm and develop simpler, more efficient ways of working
