About this role

The compliance & assurance managers play a crucial role in IT by ensuring that IT Applications meet the requirements and risk acceptable thresholds. They plan, direct, and coordinate the operational assurance activities and are the primary interface into the operational owners who are responsible for ensuring controls, mitigations & policies are effective for the applications under their responsibility. They also work to improve technologies efficiency and profitability by reducing waste, duplication and unnecessary risk mitigation that falls beyond our risk appetite. They are responsible for using data analytics to understand BT’s compliance position, producing business insight reporting as required.

UX: produce and enhance risk assurance solutions from end user requirements to automate control operation & self-serve IT control compliance reporting.

Data Analysis and Presentation: Using data analytics tools (such as Qliksense) you will bring together data from multiple sources into professional dashboards for use in risk, compliance, and assurance programs. You’ll tailor dashboards and reports to multiple audiences from managing directors to support teams.

Assurance & Compliance: Operate unit wide assurance and compliance programs in line with BT processes.

Driving risk and compliance awareness: execute a comprehensive and highly effective process wrap to help produce risk line of sight reporting to the MD IT and leadership Team. This will layout the critical issues that cannot be resolved through other means enabling directors time to be used on the key exceptional IT Control items that need their personal attention. Freeing up the managing director, senior management team & platform directors to drive a focus on the real compliance, internal control items and risks that impact on delivery of Technology’s compliance obligations.

Microsoft SharePoint (2013/2019 and O365), Power automate/PowerApps also desirable.

Qliksense Data Analytics Platform Experience (Intermediate – Expert Level)

Risk Management and Reporting

SQL Database skills (relational databases)

Produce risk assurance solution from User Experience perspective

Comprehensive Excel skills

Reporting Production and Presentation skills to a senior audience

Good understanding of Industry certifications such as PCI, ISO27001, SOX, TSR

Good overall IT knowledge

Cloud Experience (GCP, Azure, etc) desirable
