Medirest is our healthcare brand providing specialist food, hospitality and support services to residents and patients in hospitals, aged care and senior living facilities throughout New Zealand.
So, that's a little bit about us, now to what we are looking for:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Retail Manager to lead our food services team at our North Shore Wai Roto Café site in Auckland. Hours are Full Time, 5 days a week over a 7 day operation.
What would you be expected to do:
In this position you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting with food preparation in busy staff café alongside developing and maintaining excellent client and customer relations. You will also be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective operation of the site within budgets, guidelines, policies and procedures. You will manage, develop and train your team to grow capability and a positive team environment. In addition, you will be monitoring compliance with our Quality Management System, Health & Safety and Food Safety, as well as, placing online ordering, monitoring of catering supplies, coordinating and managing the staff rosters and assurance programme.
Ideal skills and experience you will have:
If you're our ideal candidate you will be hard working, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. You will have at least 3 years' experience working in a similar role, have a strong people, resource and financial management skills and be computer savvy. Ideally you will hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167), or be happy to train for one. A valid General Manager certificate is essential but, most importantly, you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality!
