he Fairy Light Shop is the leading supplier of quality fairy lights and decorative lighting in New Zealand.
Our aim is to provide customers with the best retail and / or hire experience possible via retail, in-store, phone and online sales.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Retail
- Processing of enquiries and orders for retail, trade and wholesale customers via phone, email or in-store
- Sales and despatch of products to wholesale, trade and retail customers for orders placed via email, in person or over the phone
- Despatching product to domestic and overseas retail customers via online sales
- Merchandising and display of products in the showroom in a creative and attractive way
- Memorizing product information and making appropriate suggestions for customers based on their needs
Hire
- Processing of enquiries and orders for hire customers
- Co-ordinating hire orders for pick up and return
- Testing and packaging up of lights in preparation for hire customer pick-up
General
- Navigating the warehouse, arranging and retrieving stock
- Handling sales / hire enquiries and responding to customer feedback
- General office and showroom tidying duties - vacuuming, dishes, rubbish etc.
- Helping to unload orders from time to time (this can involve some heavy lifting)
- General administrative tasks (eg. ordering stationery and packaging etc.)
- Liaising with courier for pick ups and delivery
- Researching and sourcing new customers while maintaining existing customer relationships
Ideal Personal Skills, Knowledge And Attributes:
- Previous sales and customer service experience (2+ years)
- A proficient level of computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems (eg. Xero, Wordpress)
- Strong grammatical and spelling ability for professional written communication
- An interest in design with a creative and imaginative approach
- Must be flexible with taking on more hours during busy periods (eg. Christmas time October - December), and to cover others when necessary (employee holidays)
- A smart-casual standard of dress is required
- You must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or hold a valid Vaccine Pass
The Retail, Hire and Online Support Assistant reports to the Director, Belinda Gregg
Place of work: 20 Mount Eden Road, Grafton, Auckland 1023 (Showroom & Warehouse)
Days & Hours of work:
20 hours minimum per week, including Saturday and at least two weekdays, with potential for more hours in the future.
