Join us as a Retail Branch Design Manager

• We’ll look to you to creatively deploy and ensure consistent design and application of the design schemes across the complete branch network
• Partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders, you’ll support the delivery of the design specification and scope that meets the needs of colleagues, customers and the investment

What you'll do

As a Retail Branch Design Manager, you’ll be designing and managing consistent environments and customer journeys that meet the commercial brief, timeline and cost for all our customer franchises and support teams.

You’ll also be:

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key leaders to facilitate a greater understanding of their needs, and enable optimum business solutions to be developed
• Leading and managing the design guidance across projects and programmes, continually reviewing this against strategic direction and making sure that it delivers design education and clarity which are compliant, secure and operationally sound
• Managing the contract management of the framework architects, approved design consultants and the core furniture suppliers on all allocated projects and programmes
• Working with supply chain services to support all requests for information, requests for proposal and cost management requirements
• Maintaining professional knowledge via continuous professional development

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need extensive experience in design management, specifically in the design management of creative design projects, including the ability to manage and to obtain optimum performance and results from external design consultants or contractors’ feasibility to completion. A passion for designing towards our climate objectives and future carbon neutral branch designs and fit outs would be advantageous.

Additionally, you’ll need to hold an interior design related qualification or practical design experience.

You’ll also demonstrate:

• Extensive knowledge and experience of retail or office workplace design, including current and future trends, interior and architectural design, innovations and space planning principles
• Extensive knowledge and experience of delivering cost effective solutions
• Experience and passion for environmental (climate) design
• A good understanding of how to review and create a positive customer or colleague journey for design changes
• A good knowledge of the equality act, the accessibility act, health and safety, ergonomics, building limiters, security and listed building and planning regulations
• Experience of budget management and financial reporting
