Due to the sensitive nature of this role you may be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.
You'll have the following responsibilities
- Resource management / job control. (Health & Safety working practices, the ability to validate, schedule and allocate work tasks)
- Full ownership of resourcing ensuring our engineering team are resourced and work has been allocated effectively
- Proactive in opening project codes for the engineering team where required
- Provide accurate updates on completion and delivery of supervised work.
- Leadership of direct minor works, resourcing the field team, owning resource issues and their resolution and coaching and mentoring to the field team
- Improving customer experience by delivering repair, provision and service availability performance, continually improving and supporting the delivery of great Net Promoter Score outcomes
- Profitability - Deliver and operate within service budgets (manpower, materials and circuits) and work tirelessly to deliver highly efficient services which meet our customer needs and maintain a highly utilised team
You'll have the following skills & experience
- Due to the sensitive nature of our work, you will be required to gain and maintain high level government security clearance
- Significant experience of resourcing engineering teams
- Resourcing experience of Power, Transmission (IP) and network engineers
- The ability to organise and prioritise resources to match project timescales
- Resourcing the correctly skilled engineers to the project/maintenance resource requests.
- Must have strong communication and client interfacing skills, with demonstrated ability to articulate complex technical
- Exceptional written and verbal communication (including strong technical writing skills), as well as presentation,
- Facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills
- Ability to work with stakeholders to clearly capture requirements
- Good relationship management skills with a dedicated and positive attitude
- Innovative approach to technical solutions and service quality
- Willingness to take ownership and show initiative to achieve result
