MŠte tūnga | About the role
We are looking for a motivated and energetic person with previous experience in working with youth to join our team of Night Attendants. The position is full time 40 hours per week working on a roster that covers some weekends and public holidays. A penal allowance is payable as part of the remuneration package.
The hours are 10.30pm to 7.00am.
As a Residential Night Attendant, you will be part of a team that is responsible for providing safe care for young people, security of property during the night and general administrative and household activities.
MÅu | About you
• A full clean NZ drivers' license is essential
• Meet the Children's Act safety checking and our vetting requirements
• A valid visa - New Zealand residency or citizenship
• Be a strong team player and positive role model
• Have experience in working rostered shifts/night shifts
• Demonstrate initiative and sound judgement, with an ability to 'think on your feet'
• Be self-directed in work practices
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Experience in social services, including working with at-risk children or youth is preferred, but not essential
