ROLE: Residential Framer

LOCATION: Edmonton, AB

TYPE: Permanent

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 44 hour work week

Maxsys Staffing & Consulting is currently looking for experienced residential framers to build single family and multifamily homes in the Edmonton and surrounding area. The Framer performs tasks involving physical labor and typically operates a variety of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities Include:

• Framing single and multi-story homes from start to finish. (Floors, walls & roof systems)
• Frame walls, prepare layouts, measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood materials
• Build floor beams and subflooring, install framing for dropped ceilings and bulk heads
• Erect roof rafters and sheathing, work at heights
• Build porches, verandas, post beams and decks, custom stairs, and exterior wood siding/soffit/fascia
• Install doors and windows
• Check accuracy of work and make adjustments as required
• Read blueprints for work planning
• Ensure Company Safety Policies are followed to specific work being performed daily
• Ability to work in all-weather conditions

Compensation:

• Fulltime, Monday – Friday 44 hour work week
• Competitive wage depending on experience
• Consistent year-round work
• Tools can be provided if you do not have your own

Experience:

• Carpentry: 1 year (Preferred)
• Experienced in using power-tools and machinery related to the job (eg. Telehandler)
• Ability read and Interpret blueprints
• Own tools considered an asset (company will supply tools if required)

• Current Fall Protection
• CSTS-09
• First AID (an asset)

Required PPE:

• CSA Approved Steel Toed boots
• Hard Hat and Safety Vest
