Job Description

Role Responsibility

  • Research and develop content ideas
  • Create research briefs including research calls
  • Source archive and music
  • Work closely with Producers and other team members  to manage delivery of programme output
  • Support the producer on studio days 
  • Find new and diverse contributors representing       Scotland’s people and voices 
  • Book studios internally and externally
  • Use of systems such as Proteus, OneDrive, Dropbox, Teams, Call Me, Studio Bookings, VCS Dira
  • Maintain an up to date diary of cultural events

The Ideal Candidate

  • You are passionate about speech radio and have a keen interest in arts and entertainment content
  • You are across the key cultural events and can suggest creative ways to cover them
  • You are a good communicator and know how to find the best contributors including finding new diverse voices
  • You are a team player with the ability to work together to provide great content for our audiences
  • You have the organisational skills to deal with a wide range of subjects and contributors
  • You enjoy working under pressure and can work to deadlines

Package Description

Band: B

Contract type: 6 months fixed term/attachment based on 14hrs per week

Location: The Tun, Edinburgh
