Responsibilities

A developer in this role will be expected to drive major features from start to finish. This includes soliciting requirements, creating a plan, communication of proposal, technical implementation and ensuring the end product is monitored for success. Sometimes this involves working alone, sometimes as part of a broader team.

Some of the core responsibilities include designing, testing and maintaining software modules, writing reliable, scalable and efficient code, measuring and diagnosing system performance, as well as collaborating with other teams that span across geographies for feature development and support.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 5+years of experience in software design and development or applied industrial research environment
• Proven experience managing a high-performance software development team
• Strong development experience in C++, C#, Java and/or Python
• Experience coordinating and collaborating with other teams and stakeholders
• Proven experience deploying and maintaining production-quality code
• Strong hands-on software development expertise including object-oriented design skills.
• Self-driven individual with a strong sense of ownership and comfortable with uncertainty.
• Ability to work independently and learn/ramp-up to new areas quickly.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High interest in quality and engineering excellence.
• Knowledge of container technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• MSc in Computer Science or related engineering field.
• Background or interest in Machine Learning and/or Computer Vision.
• Experience in fields such as cloud computing, multimedia systems, distributed systems and networking.
• Expertise and knowledge in modern engineering practices (CI/CD, TDD, SOLID).
• Experience with Cloud Platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Experience with Linux
